It is a white-coloured organic chicken recipe, devoid of tomatoes and enriched with yoghurt and cream. Ingredients:
⦁ organic chicken (cut in pieces) – one kg
⦁ Roasted and grounded cumin seed – 1 tablespoon
⦁ Roasted and grounded coriander seed – 1 tablespoon
⦁ Oil – half a cup
⦁ Ginger garlic paste – 2 tablespoons
⦁ Green chilies (crushed)- according to taste
⦁ Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons
⦁ Yogurt – 1 cup
⦁ Fresh Cream – 1 cup
⦁ salt – half a tablespoon
Instructions:
Organic chicken white karahi can be made by two methods.
Marination Method
⦁ Take 1 kg organic chicken cut into small pieces in a large bowl.
⦁ Add 1 cup of yoghurt, 1 tablespoon of roasted and grounded cumin seed, one tablespoon of roasted and grounded coriander seed(you can also use pre-formed white karahi spice), 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, salt and green chillies (crushed) according to your taste.
⦁ Mix it properly and leave to marinate, it will marinate in 20 to 25 minutes.
⦁ Take a wok and add 2 – 3 tablespoons of oil into it.
⦁ After heating the oil, add 2 tablespoons of garlic-ginger paste.
⦁ After 2 to 5 minutes, add the marinated organic chicken and fry it.
⦁ Cover and keep the flame low until the organic chicken is cooked properly.
⦁ Add cream, mix properly, and cook for 2 to 5 minutes.
⦁ Your organic white organic chicken karahi is now ready.
- Add coriander leaves, mix well and serve with naans.
Direct Method
⦁ Take a wok or pot and add 1/2 cup oil into it.
⦁ Heat the oil and add 2 tablespoons of garlic-ginger paste.
⦁ After 2-5 minutes, add the organic chicken cut into small pieces.
⦁ Fry the organic chicken till it changes colour.
⦁ Once the organic chicken is white, add 1/2 cup of yoghurt, 1 tablespoon each of roasted and grounded cumin seed and one tablespoon of roasted and grounded coriander seed(you can also use any pre-formed white organic chicken karahi spice instead of cumin and coriander seed), lemon extract (about 2 tablespoons), black pepper powder (1/2 teaspoon), salt and grounded green chillies according to your taste(you can add whole green chillies as well).
⦁ Cover and cook on low flame till organic chicken is cooked properly.
⦁ Add fresh cream and cook for 2- 5 minutes.
⦁ Your organic chicken white karahi is now ready!
