How To Make Organic Butter Chicken:

Butter chicken is a very famous Indian dish. It is also known as Murgh Makhni in the Hindi language as chicken in Hindi can be called Murgh, while Makhni comes from Makhan, which is the Hindi for butter. It can be served with rice or can be eaten with hot Chapatis. Today, we are bringing you a recipe to make organic butter chicken so that you can enjoy both the taste of butter chicken along with the benefits that come from an organic chicken.

So, follow our recipe to have a marvellous meal at your supper:


For Organic Chicken:

  • Organic Chicken Breasts (small cubes) 1 kg
  • Turmeric Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Red Chilli Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic (finely cut) 1 tablespoon
  • Garam Masala 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt 1 teaspoon
  • Yoghurt 120 ml
  • Ginger (finely cut) 1 tablespoon
  • Paprika 1 teaspoon

For the Gravy:

  • Butter 3 tablespoons
  • Clovers 4 pieces
  • Bay Leaves 2 leaves
  • Honey 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander Leaves (Chopped) 1 tablespoon
  • Ground Cashew Nuts 30 pieces
  • Tomato Passata 4/5 kg
  • Cream 250 ml
  • Dried Kasoori Methi 1 teaspoon
  • Salt as desired
  • Onions (chopped) 1 piece
  • Ginger (finely cut) 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon Sticks 1 piece
  • Garlic (finely cut) 1 tablespoon


For Organic Chicken:

  1. Take a large and deep bowl and add the organic chicken breasts pieces into it
  2. Add all the ingredients mentioned in the organic chicken sections and mix properly. Make sure all of the organic chicken pieces are covered well with the ingredients
  3. With plastic wrap, cover the top of the bowl and leave it overnight
  4. Add butter to a deep frying pan and heat it
  5. Take out the marinated chicken pieces and fry them on the frying pan with medium flame
  6. Fry till the colour turns brownish, around 3 minutes

For the Gravy:

  1. After the marinated organic chicken has been fried, re-heat the butter in the same frying pan and add onions and fry till they start to become semi-transparent
  2. Now add cloves, garlic, green cardamons, and ginger and keep stirring
  3. Fry the whole mixture till there is a uniform fragrance
  4. Add cashew nuts, tomato passata, bay leaves, and a cinnamon stick.
  5. Cook this new mixture for around 1.5 minutes
  6. Blend the whole mixture into a thin and smooth one
  7. Add the chicken to the frying pan again and pour this blended gravy onto it
  8. Cook the chicken for around 10 more minutes
  9. Now add the methi and cream, and stir
  10. Cook this mixture for around 2 minutes, and you will start to see bubbles in the sauce, which means it is ready
  11. Turn the flame off and get ready to serve this delicious recipe
